8-14 yr Child Improvers Whittling Workshop - With Harry Samuel

X

Description

This October half-term, let Harry guide your children through safely using an axe, carving knife and saw. You will start the day making a mallet and a wedge, essential tools for your green woodworking toolkit. In the afternoon we will start with a log and using the mallet and wedges made in the morning, learn to cleave out a billet and then carve a spatula! There will also be time for free play, making new friends and cooking s'mores over the campfire! This course is perfect for kids who have previous experience of carving, either through Forest School or courses Harry has run at Grow Wilder or at festivals around the UK. Suitable for ages 8+, but if your child has previous woodworking experience, exceptions may be allowed. Please do get in touch.
