Description
This 6 week specialist metal clay course is designed for intermediate students, who want to build on the skills they have already gained in previous classes. Taught by our fully qualified and professional Silver Clay expert; Louise, you will be introduced to a varying series of techniques to improve your dexterity and knowledge of the working clay to develop results which will be working towards a professional standard. You will learn about the further use and develop complex skills and knowledge in the silver clay as well as be introduced to copper clay and how to use them both individually and together to make your own Jewellery. You’ll explore how to design dimensional jewellery with rich textures, learning techniques that make each piece truly unique. Through the addition of colour, patina, and surface detail, you’ll discover how to bring depth and character to your work. Alongside this, you’ll develop a personal design process rooted in experimentation, allowing your ideas to evolve with confidence and creativity Please note: this class is subject to cancellation if minimum enrolment numbers are not met.

Materials for the first three weeks of learning and experimenting are provided. Materials for the final three weeks in which you will make a final piece can be ordered from the school, or you can bring your own!

From our specialist workshop space, the school offers a wide range of vocational and recreational classes to include full jewellery making processes, design awareness and development creative business coaching. Alongside the established workshops, the school has a series of visiting specialist tutors offering both introductory and specialist classes throughout the year where we work with all level of students from complete beginners to professional makers. In addition we offer many recreational classes and bookings available from birthday parties, hen-dos and team building sessions, each class is built in with drinks and refreshments meaning that not only will you enjoy your day, you’ll leave with a solid foundation of skills you can build on in many ways.
