1-day mosaic jewellery workshop in West London

Description

This fun and inspirational one-day workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced mosaic makers alike. For those new to mosaic we will start by learning how to cut the materials to an accurate size and shape and to use the tools safely and efficiently, and then will move fairly quickly on to cutting, laying and designing your own pieces of jewellery. There will be lots of materials to play with – vitreous glass, unglazed porcelain, broken china and silver/gold beads - but please feel free to bring any additional materials you might want to incorporate from home such as beads or small pieces of sea glass or pottery. There will also be a wide selection of silver-plated jewellery bezels – various styles and sizes of rings, earrings and pendants which come with either chains or chokers. So you can make coordinating sets of jewellery or lots different one-off pieces. We will spend the morning making the jewellery pieces and then after lunch we will grout and polish them so you will go home with all your pieces finished and ready to wear. There will be lots of individual attention and throughout the lots of hints and tips to make your pieces a success.

What's included in the price?

All tools and materials are included - a huge selection of glass, porcelain, broken china and jewellery bezels to work on - and all safety equipment is provided. Tea and coffee are available throughout the day, and there are a couple of cafés close by for lunch/take-away sandwiches, etc. There is a seating area at the centre if you wish to bring your own packed lunch. Free parking at the centre.
