Description

Treat yourself or a loved one to an enjoyable full day's course learning the beautiful craft of Needle Felting. Set in the grounds of our wonderful Jacobean Farmhouse, amidst the rolling hills of the beautiful and peaceful Worcestershire countryside, the course will start promptly at 9am and finish at approximately 4pm. There is plenty of parking for you on arrival and someone will be there to greet you and direct you to the workshop. We strive to provide a warm, supportive and friendly environment where you can have fun and enjoy learning new skills. Light refreshments will be provided by us throughout the day but we do ask that you bring your own packed lunch please. Please bear in mind that we are very rural and there are no local shops. You are very welcome, to wander around the lovely gardens during the lunch break and take in the surrounding countryside (weather permitting!). Needle felting is a fascinating and fun textile craft technique that involves using a special felting needle to stab and agitate wool fibres so they join and bond together. Jenny Biddlecombe is an experienced needle felt artist who will be sharing her skills and knowledge with you and there will be examples of her work for you to look at. Jenny will start off the day by teaching you the basic techniques of this enjoyable and surprisingly easy craft. She will then go on to teach you how to create an animal sculpture using a wire armature which you will be able to take home. We understand that everyone learns at their own pace and although the aim will be that you will finish your sculpture in the day, there is no pressure to do so and Jenny will ensure that you will have the skills to be able to finish off at home if necessary.
