Beginner’s workshop – No experience is necessary. In this fantastic new jewellery making workshop you will be able to create 2 sterling silver bangles. You will learn how to size bangles, how to solder, texture the metal, and polish your designs. You will be provided with all the silver required to make two stacking bangles. These two silver bangles can be held together with a jump ring if you want to keep it simple or you can give further decorations to them by using forming dies. You will also get 10% Discount Voucher for the Biscuit Factory Kitchen where you can get refreshments after a successful workshop. 14-17 years old can attend the workshop with a an accompanying paying adult. PLEASE let me know if you are booking anybody under 18 years old. What you will learn How to measure your bangle size How to texture silver with hammers How to solder your bangle How to add finishing touches/polishing etc. What you need to bring: if you wish you bring a notebook, an apron and a drink (water / coffee/ tea). If you need glasses for reading then it is advisable to have them with you during the workshop. Studio  Rules Long hair needs to be tied back Do not wear open-toe shoes in the studio Do not wear clothing or jewellery that hangs-off the body that might be a danger while using tools and/or machinery Follow the Government’s current COVID-19 guidelines Age Restrictions 18+ 16-18 years old can attend as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. Emine is a designer-maker of contemporary jewellery. She lives in Whitley Bay and works from her studio at the Biscuit Box Studios in Newcastle upon Tyne. Her work often explores amalgamation of materials and techniques to achieve harmonious wearable objects. She combines traditional silversmithing techniques with metal clay techniques. She shares her love of creating jewellery with others in her silver clay workshops within her studio and at six other galleries across North East.
