Shirley will show you here in detail how to embroider. Begin with shading in straight stitches. Add goldwork and stumpwork. A very happy, creative and instructive small group that meet downstairs at The Viking Loom on Fridays . You will be working with stranded cottons, fine cotton fabric with backing to begin with so please bring selection of threads, hoop and needles etc. Shirley is a very talented embroiderer - she designed and led the needlework on The Stamford Bridge tapestries. She has designed and stitched a really vast collection of beautiful embroidery work and is very able to help and teach you to enjoy every aspect of embroidery. Come along and try or rekindle or dust down your skills . Book each class at a time - no need to book a block !

yes you can park outside . we are a granary with plenty of parking in the concrete yard 10-15m from the entrance. there is room for one right outside .
yes please . we can help you in with it . if really stuck we do have machines here available for use . you then need to come a bit earlier to familiarise yourself with the one you borrow.
