Afternoon Pottery Workshop - Pitcher Jug
Description
In a relaxed environment, Hayley from Bramley Pottery, will guide you through the process of making a large, beautiful slab-built pitcher jug with a patterned exterior and handle - no previous experience is necessary. On arrival, guests will have an opportunity to have tea, coffee and pastries and to meet the other members of the workshop. This stunning jug is multi-purpose; the glaze is food safe so can be used for serving milk, cream, pimms or water or add gorgeous fresh flowers and display as a vase. Once your jug has dried Hayley will fire them in her kiln and then glaze them for you in a celadon colour of your choice. The pottery journey takes time, so there will be a wait after the workshop to receive your pieces as this will allow time for them to dry, to be bisque fired, glazed and re-fired. Once finished, your pottery can be collected from her studio in Ballinger, or they can be sent via courier (at an additional cost). Make sure you bring an apron and messy clothing to the workshop, Hayley will provide all the tools you need to make your pottery.
What's included in the price?
All materials, tuition, use of tools as well as refreshments are included. Once the pieces are fired and glazed, Hayley will then arrange with you for them to be picked up from her studio, or alternatively, can be sent to you (for a small additional postage charge).
