Improve your Phone Photography Workshop in the Lake District
Description
The aim of this workshop is to leave you feeling confident and satisfied that you can create sharp, creative photographs with your phone every time without having to buy the latest version of whatever phone you use. No more feeling the pressure to be creative. You will start to approach your photography in a more systematic way, apply basic photography principles and use simple yet often creative techniques. You will start thinking about your motivation for taking a photograph (intention) and experiment positioning yourself and elements in the photograph (composition). You will then look at how to take your photographs and quickly and easily ‘develop’ them using free apps on your phone. You will learn how to carefully fine-tune your photographs to help them to make a stronger visual impact while also maintaining the original image quality. Even with a little knowledge of editing, you can improve even your best photographs in a matter of minutes but if you don’t edit your photographs, you won’t see their true potential Eric Pye loves being outdoors – he also likes to take his camera, look around the corner and sit awhile in quiet appreciation. There are lots to appreciate! Not just the grand view or the dramatic panorama, but also the small details that knit together to make the fabric of the land; coloured lichen patterning the rocks in a stream, the spray of a waterfall, or the patchwork of light flitting over a hillside. These are the things that inspire him to use his camera in an attempt to tell the story of these places and times. Eric was a primary school teacher for many years and now likes to put those skills to use helping people with their photography.
What's included in the price?
You will have a chance to explore Hare Hill Farm during the day so please bring outdoor clothing and footwear, and your camera. Refreshments are provided throughout the day including home-baked cakes, and a two-course lunch.

We have parking near the Barn and in our farmyard. If you need to be near to the Barn, please let us know in advance and we can reserve you a place.
We do not offer accommodation at Hare Hill Barn, but being in the Lake District there are numerous places to stay locally to suit all budgets. If you would like some assistance in finding somewhere to stay, please get in touch.
