"Thank you Jill for an extremely enjoyable morning! My sister Chris, who has been painting for many years now, really enjoyed trying out the oils and is now very keen to use them again. I had not used acrylics before and will definitely give them another go. Your knowledge and experience, not to mention patience, was very evident and we feel that we gained a lot from the course. By the way, the soup was delicious!"

"I got this full day experience for myself and my partner, as a surprise Birthday present. Jill was so friendly and helpful and put me at ease when booking. The day itself was amazing and we both enjoyed ourselves so much. We both came away with completed acrylic pictures, that we can't wait to put up in our home. Jill was so patient, friendly and knowledgeable, she gave us the confidence to be able to paint and have fun. Lunch was beautiful and Jill catered to us being vegetarian, with a lovely salad and spinach bites. I would highly recommend this course and we would love to come back again in the future. "

"Wow! As an absolute beginner at using acrylics to create a "proper" painting, I was a little terrified when faced with putting brush to canvas. Jill was very supportive and encouraging, and at the end of the day, which included a lovely lunch prepared by Jill, I went home with a piece of art that I'm actually very proud of. The only disappointing bit was when our crafty session was over and I had to leave! I am definitely planning a return visit, hopefully in the not-too-distant future. Thank you Jill x"

"Took my mum for a Mother’s Day present for a whole day. We both thoroughly enjoyed the day. Jill was so encouraging. It was a lovely setting in a nice light studio, very calm and relaxing day and under Jill’s expert tuition both of us came away quite proud of what we’d achieved. We had a delicious home made lunch which was accompanied by some home made bread made by Jill’s lovely husband. A truly memorable day spent in the company of a charming couple. Thank you very, very much."

"I was not disappointed returning for another four days of painting, learning new and exciting techniques. I can accomplish seascapes and boats with confidence and have now moved onto landscapes with Jill’s expert tuition, so much has been achieved. Jill is so encouraging, instills confidence and makes painting fun. The delicious lunches (which we had in their lovely garden) adds to the ambience. The classes are a joy and I cannot wait to return, well worth the ten hour drive from Scotland. Thank you again."

"What a fantastic four days of painting in Jill's beautiful studio. She made us feel so welcome and relaxed. I was amazed at what I was able to achieve in that time and my family have been most impressed with my 2 paintings. Jill encourages one with such positivity and I learnt so much in the 4 days. It was full of fun, laughter and music. The lunches that come with the whole day courses are a real homemade treat even the bread rolls which are made by her lovely husband. "I am a local girl and was hoping along with 4 other friends to attend one of Jill's courses but Covid struck but I did eventually spend a great day myself with Jill last November. It was a pleasure to paint alongside her, I have painted on and off for a few years but it was refreshing to use different brushes and techniques. Lunch was lovely (don't forget to let me have your soup recipe) and good company. Thank you Jill for a great day, you will see me again and you have got me interested in painting again. I would say to anyone who has painted or not painted in their life to visit Jill, see her studio and share her talent. Heather x"
