Needle Felting onto Fabric is a popular felting course. Learn how to needle felt an animal into fabric using beautiful merino wool tops. Working in 2D with felt is a great way to create magnificent artwork - you will be amazed at the beautiful effect it creates. Needle felting onto fabric is a great technique to learn. It is very relaxing and so easy to master. We show you some great tips and techniques to create a beautiful artwork. We can provide a structured task or bring your own ideas. All materials and equipment provided. No prior experience required, absolute beginners welcome. We can provide templates so you don't need to be skillful at drawing either. This course is also a great option for felters who wish to try something new. At the end of the session you will take a kit home to finish your artwork in the comfort of your own home. Your kit will include: Needle Sponge Fleece Fabric Source images/guide sheets if you need them Please bring your own lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. This is an adult course, although older children (aged 13+) would be welcome if booking a place alongside another booking adult or with parental permission. Thread and Press CIC are a Community Interest Company based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, providing arts workshops, classes and projects for adults and children. Established by two experienced art teachers, we have been operating since 2020, providing many workshops and sessions across East Riding and surrounding counties. Sessions are delivered by a qualified teacher with Enhanced DBS. Thread and Press CIC are ERMOS registered.

Online sessions: Yes, age ranges given are for guidance and anyone is welcome to join in. You may find that an older child benefits more from the older children's sessions as it will be tailored more to their skill level. But Holly will always make everyone feel welcome and you will finish with a great outcome.
In-person children's sessions: Unless advertised as a family session, our in-person sessions are for participating children only
In-person adult sessions: We usually have minimum age limits for adult classes - please check the course listing
