Description
Needle felt a cute little fox at this fun and relaxing workshop led by Amanda Smith from Felt Fabulous Gifts. This workshop is suitable for beginners and beyond, and we will be using a variety of soft British wools. During the workshop you will learn basic needle felting techniques and about the various wools and needles. You will be gently guided through all the techniques needed. You will begin by gradually sculpting the core wool into a fox shape by repeatedly poking the wool with felting needles. Next, you will needle felt on layers of coloured wool to add colour and texture, and create expressive features such as eyes to bring life and character to your fox! As well as your felted creation, you can take home any needles you have used. This workshop is held at the creative workspace at the back of Cass Art in Liverpool 1, next door to the Bluecoat Arts Centre. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to have during the workshop.

Maker
Hi, my name is Amanda and I have been felting for six years now following on from a 20 year career as a teacher. I love teaching workshops and seeing the pleasure on people's faces as they manage to create amazing things from wool, even when they have never picked up a felting needle before. Needle felting is such a rewarding and therapeutic craft and I love starting people off on their felting journey, and helping people who have felted before grow in the craft.
