Description

An exploration into the ancient Korean technique of Keum Boo. The application of bonding 23ct gold to the surface of fine silver using heat and pressure. Sample pieces will be produced on the day which can then be used for jewellery. This course is more suitable for students who have jewellery making experience and wish to add another process to their repetoir. His course is taught on a 1:1 basis.

What's included in the price?

All tuition and specialist tools. The fine gold sheet is an extra cost, but silver is included on this course.

I have worked as a jewellery designer and maker for over twenty five years now and as a tutor for around fifteen. My jewellery is inspired by many sources the natural coastal environment in which I live and also by pattern and design that catches my eye. I have worked in trade workshops and studied gemmology which I find really interesting. Now based on Portland, I teach 1:1 classes tailoring classes to individuals needs and small groups of up to six students which run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Also Wednesday and Thursday evenings. I teach an intermediate class on Fridays.
