Intermediate hand embroidery distance learning kit and instructions

Description

This Intermediate Hand Embroidery Distance Learning Kit teaches you a variety of interesting stitches to create a beautiful sampler framed in an embroidery hoop to show off your newfound skills from the comfort of your home.  This workshop and many others are normally offered in person, but in these uncertain times, it has been transformed into an exciting and enjoyable kit that you can work through at your own pace, learning and creating as you go.   Carefully designed and packaged this kit includes full instructions with diagrams and photographs not only on how to create each stitch but also how to frame your work neatly in the hoop and add a felt backing to enclose the back of your work ready for display. Suitable for those with some embroidery experience or who have completed the beginners kit.  This kit has all of the materials that you will need to replicate the sampler shown and hints and tips on how to design your own sampler using the stitches taught if you would prefer to do so.  Two squares of calico fabric are included in the kit - one to practise the stitches on and one to embroider the sampler on.  All you need to add are embroidery scissors and a pencil or transfer pen.  The kit comes presented in a plain tote bag in which you can store your embroidery and threads in between embroidery sessions.  You can also embroider your newly learnt stitches on the bag afterwards if you would like to! There will be some thread left over after completing the kit, but you may need to purchase more if you would like to embroider on the bag as well. The threads supplied may vary in colour very slightly, depending on availability. However, the threads will always be pinks and purples - other colourways are available on request. By the time you have completed the sampler, you will have learnt a range of slightly more complex embroidery stitches and have created a delightful sampler to display in your home or to give as a gift.   There is also a Facebook group that you can join for support and share your work with like-minded individuals. (There is no limit on the time you can be a member of the Facebook group.)   Perfect as a gift for a creative person or as a treat to yourself.  This pack is also available as instructions only – please contact me for details. I can create this embroidery kit in another colourway if you would prefer; simply message me with your preferred colours to check I have them in stock and I will create your kit for you.

I am a textile artist, tutor and community arts practitioner. I live on the North East Coast and work from my studio and gallery in Saltburn by the Sea. My artwork is inspired by people; their relationships and memories - I am to create a snapshot in time. I have taught a range of workshops for many years. My aim is for students to leave with a wealth of new knowledge, having created something unique to them. Workshops focus on exploration, experimenting with techniques and having fun.
