Description
I make and teach fused glass and sell through craft fairs, galleries and shops. Creating is such a vital part of our make up and I wanted to give more people the opportunity of creating a fused glass artwork. I love teaching and sharing my skills but not everyone can travel to my North Cornish studio to dip their toe in the fascinating world of fused glass so I have designed a selection of fused glass kits that you can make at home. Your kit will come to you packed in an eco friendly padded bag, with a cardboard box containing everything you need to create your own unique artwork. The bag and box are reused to send your completed designs back to me for firing. Clear instructions, detailed photos and top tips will guide you through the process of designing and making your own artwork. You can follow the instructions to the letter or give the design your own twist. Once fired, your design will be sent back to you with an oak stand and fixing ready for you to display your artwork on a windowsill or shelf. These kits make a lovely gift, for those naturally creative or those who have never realised just how good it feels to make something yourself, what better present than the gift of creating! Once your order has been received, your kit will be posted out to you in 1-3 days via the EVRi delivery system. When you have finished creating your art work, wrap it up reusing the original packaging provided and send it back to me. The firing of your piece takes around 16 hours, so as soon as it is fired, cooled, packed with its own little oak stand, it will be sent back to you, usually within 7 days. It is a good idea to work on an easily cleaned surface and use a dustpan and brush or vacuum cleaner and then a damp cloth to make sure all the bits of glass are removed after you have finished creating your design. I have designed these kits with adults in mind, they are NOT suitable for children. Please be aware that these kits contain unfired glass which can be sharp. Keep all the contents of the kit away from children and babies. Pink House Glass cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury while using, making or posting this kit.

I am a self taught fused glass artist with over 15 years experience of teaching the fascinating art of kiln forming glass. At the various craft fairs I attended, I kept getting asked if I taught classes. Could I.....would I? so I started and I absolutely love it! We live in gorgeous North Cornwall where our lovely spacious studio offers the perfect setting for an Afternoon Taster Course, a Full Day Introduction to Glass Fusing or a One to One course exploring the world of glass fusing. And according to my students, the food's not bad either! :)
