Description
Christmas Iris folding is fun and easy to learn, and great for making your own greetings cards. Once you have learnt how to do simple shapes like squares and circles you can go on to do all sorts of shapes. In this session you will learn how to use paper to create beautiful pictures which can later be made into cards. Get to learn the basic way to iris fold before going on to do a set of Christmas designs. Extension to the course is to design and go through the process of creating your own designs on paper to use in the iris folding technique. Refreshments are included, but please bring lunch with you. About the tutor: Alison Mayston Alison is the owner of The Craft Loft, a local business, in Suffolk set up with the help of the Princes Trust. She offers workshops at her studio/workshop in an idyllic garden setting at her home in the village of Burstall. She teaches a wide range of mediums Fused Glass/Silver Clay Jewellery/Polymer Clay/Zentangle drawing and much more including textiles, such as needle felting and macrame. Her ethos is to offer inspiration, encouragement and explore the huge health and wellbeing benefits that crafting can bring.
