Description
Bring them along to learn some real jewellery making skills using real sterling silver, freshwater pearls or gemstone beads and sterling silver charms in my "under the sea" themed necklace workshop! They will go home with a real treasure that they can keep forever! The course is designed for 8-15 year olds and is approximately 1 - 1 1/2 hours long to keep it short and sweet for those with a younger attention span! (Please allow up to two hours) During the session they will; -Melt the end of silver wire using a real flame torch, ( this done one at a time, under strict supervision ). -Learn how use how use a range of pliers and hammers to create there very own silver seaweed! -They can choose either a genuine gemstone bead of aquamarine, morganite, quartz and more or a real freshwater pearl. Learn how to thread it on to silver wire and create the secure loop to go onto their chain. -Choose one my sterling silver sea themed charms and learn how to use jump rings and pliers to attach it to the chain. a 16" chain is also included. The course is for up to 4 children at any one time. All children must be accompanied by an adult who must stay for the course and is free of charge, please do NOT purchase a ticket for the adult. This person may wish to assist their child if required at times. Tea and coffee is provided along with snacks. Drinks and teats are also provided for the children, which include water, juice, lemonade, biscuits and sweets. If you have dietary requirements please let me know in advance of the session. It is up to the adult as to what you are happy for your child to eat and drink. If you would like to book this course as a birthday party I can incorporate up to 6 children in the workshop but there is less seating/space available for the adults so I would advise nominating 2-3 adults to assist the party. I can do birthday cake presentations or add in some little extras if you would like, such as different snacks, treats, decorations or music etc. I can't do any sort of cooked food or meals due to health and safety and the nature of the workshop environment. What's included in the price?
All the sterling silver they will need, a gemstone bead or freshwater pearl of their choice, sterling silver sea themed charm, a 16" sterling silver chain. Snacks, drinks for the children, tea, coffee and biscuits for the grown ups.
