I have been sculpting, fabricating and teaching metalwork since 2002 using a wide range of skills and techniques. I have run my own metal sculpture practice as well as freelanced for sculpture and set making companies including The Royal Opera House. I love teaching and have a huge amount of experience working with people of all ages either one on one or with groups. I am City & Guilds qualified and currently teach C&G Welding at Plumpton College.

"Great day with Philip learning to weld with mig, MMA and tig as a total newbie. Now loaded up with the confidence to get together a little home setup and turn the tuition and practice into a useful item of some description. Would recommend to anyone who too would like to be able to weld. "

"I wanted to learn more about metal work and have a go on a few tools before getting myself setup at home. Phillip is a great teacher, patient and very knowledgeable and gave me lots of hints and tips about the best way to get started at home. Plasma cutting, welding, working with the forge, angle cutting and grinding. I even made a start on my dream project - a weathervane. I would highly recommend! "
