Debbie reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"My friend Sally and I had a wonderful day on Jo’s one day hare sculpting course. Jo, her husband Andy and pooches gave us a warm welcome before we ventured over to the studio located in their beautiful garden meadow. Jo’s tuition was faultless, the whole day was well organised and paced perfectly. Both Jo (and later in the day) Andy were on hand, attentive but not in an intrusive way knowing when to step in and offer help when needed. With a little help from them both I managed to create an adorable hare. There were plenty of refreshments to keep us going 😊 I can honestly say this is the best creative course I have ever attended and I’ve been on a few! Lovely hosts, great fellow students with plenty of laughs and to top it off glorious weather. Sally and I are already planning to do a 2 day course when one becomes available. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Debbie! Both my workshops over the weekend enjoyed the long awaited sunshine which was blissful. We are so glad you loved the day and look forward to welcoming you back in the future, Jo xx"

Fin reviewed: Axe Making Course - One Day Blacksmithing Experience

"Excellent course! Tom is a very good teacher, lovely guy, answered my endless questions and had loads of cool things to show and talk about. The course itself was great, it was one on one which is rare, and meant that the experience wasn't diluted or crowded at all. Couldn't be happier with the final product, it looked (almost) just like the one advertised with the course and I'm looking forward to using it for years to come. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking to have a guided hands on blacksmithing experience and come away with a cool and functional product."

"Beautiful countryside views, good weather, nice bunch of fellow wallers and four very good, knowledgeable tutors. Instruction was clear and easy to follow. Well planned day with refreshment breaks and Ginger Cake to die for! Hard physical work, but very satisfying. I think we all learned a lot and were very pleased to see the final result of our combined efforts. Thank you very much for an excellent weekend. "

Jacqueline reviewed: Wet Felting Bowl Workshop

"I really loved learning how to create a wet felted bowl, layering it up, felting it and then gently massaging it into shape. Rachel is a lovely, kind and encouraging teacher and obviously an expert at her craft. The facilities were beautiful and well equipped and I love my finished little bowl. Thank you for a lovely day. "

Diana reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"My husband Chris and I did this fabulous course on 12 May. Jo and Andy made us all so welcome - (as did the 2 lovely friendly cockapoos!) We learnt so much during the day but it was still relaxed and fun. We now have a pair of medium sized hares that will go outdoors in a few days. Jo explained and demonstrated each step of the process fully and was always available to offer advice and help whenever needed. It's a fascinating thing to do, and so satisfying to come home with a beautiful item that you have made! I'd love to do a 2 day course but will have to wait until a space next year as all courses are very popular. It was a lovely group of people, the weather was perfect, Jo and Andy's garden is super and a great showplace for examples of Jo's work too. We were kept well refreshed too! Thank you Jo and Andy - and the group for a smashing day we'll remember for a long while. "

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Our pleasure Diana. It was lovely having you and Chris in the studio. Your hares were fabulous and will enjoy their time sitting together in your garden. How wonderful to have good weather at long last! To be able to sit the hares outside during lunch so the new plaster could dry in the sunshine was bliss! Hope to see you back in the studio, Jo xx"

Lesley Smith reviewed: Silver Ring Making Workshop

"Daren's silversmithing workshop is an absolute gem! From the moment you step through the door, you're greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by Daren himself. What sets Daren apart is his exceptional ability to explain everything with such clarity and passion. But what truly makes Daren's workshop stand out is the freedom he gives you to express your creativity. While he provides guidance and support every step of the way, Daren encourages you to design and create your own ring. Every time I glance down at the ring I created in Daren's workshop, I can't help but smile. "
