Helen S reviewed: Free machine embroidery - an introduction

"Excellent course. I learnt a lot from Jen. Now I know how to check tension, what kind of machine feet I need and how to use them. With only three other participants, we all got plenty of one to one assistance from Jen plus tea and cake! And at my first try at free motion machine embroidery, I came away with a piece of work I can be proud of. Thanks, Jen."

Sew Forest of Dean responded:

"Hi Helen, thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. You've made a lovely job with your first machine embroidery, enjoy doodling and using your machine in a completely different way šŸ˜Š. Best wishes, Jen"

Lynne reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Had a great time making the medium hare. I chose to have the ā€˜scratching earā€™ pose. Jo was a great teacher and everything was explained clearly, and, of course, she was there to help with problems that arose and give advice. Every part of the process was enjoyable. Andy came to the rescue when it got hectic with the plasterā€¦ā€¦he also makes a good cuppa! A lovely way to spend the day. (I have been studying my hare today, he may not be perfect but every time I look at him I love him a little bit more)"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Lynne - your ear scratching hare was lovely and will be a great talking point when placed in your garden. Each hare is soooo different! Andy is my rock during that busy 'pinch time' in the middle of the day šŸ˜Š. Jo xx"

Julia reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"I did the Hare sculpture course yesterday with Jo, I have to say it was the most fabulously enjoyable day Iā€™ve had in a long while. Everything about it was great, we had a group of 7 people and Jo helped everyone with the help of husband Andy who kept us topped up with materialā€™s. It was a busy day, but not to full on, plenty of time for tea/coffee, biscuits and cuddles with the adorable dogs. I would absolutely recommend it and actually would love to do it again."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Julia! Lovely day with lovely people - our cockapoo's Mia & Tula particularly enjoyed the cuddles. Would love to see you back in the studio! Jo xx"

Hannah reviewed: Half Day Introductory Woodturning Course for 1 or 2 people near Salisbury Wiltshire

"This was a great half day - quite intense with lots to absorb. I wish Iā€™d done a full day to give me more time to get to grips with the various techniques. George is a hugely enthusiastic tutor, clearly passionate about wood turning. He pulls out all the stops to pack as much into the session as possible. You really get your moneyā€™s worth. We were cutting wood on the lathe within minutes of our arrival and my friend and I both came home with a Christmas tree, a spinning top and a little bowl that weā€™d made. I was amazed by the quality of the pieces we were able to produce, even though we were absolute beginners. Itā€™s a bit addictive and I suspect George will be seeing more of me. "
