Description
Immerse yourself in the traditional art of basket weaving in our one day workshop. Discover the beauty of hand-made basketry in this beginners workshop where you'll learn the fundamentals of crafting with willow to create a beautiful willow basket to cherish for years. This Irish Potato Basket draws from traditional “skib” or “ciseog” baskets used to strain and serve boiled potatoes. This course is held outdoors, although it is undercover. What's included in the price?
Your course fee includes tuition from one of our experienced tutors, the use of equipment and all materials will be provided. There will be the opportunity to purchase some equipment if you choose. Be warned, it can become addictive. There will be a £10 charge for material payable to the tutor on the day.
