Sharon Allen reviewed: Make a Mosaic, for beginners

"I booked the course to do something different- to take me out of my comfort zone. I’m so glad I did, I had a wonderful day! Tracey is a fantastic tutor- she is passionate about Mosaics and has a wealth of knowledge which she eagerly shared with me and the other students. We made fridge magnets before moving on to our chosen pieces. Those of us who didn’t finish were given more than enough material - and advice to be able to complete them at home. Like other reviews have said the day just flew by and I enjoyed every minute! Thanks Tracey "

Tracey Cartledge Artist responded:

"Thank you very much, Sharon. I'm so glad you did, too, and pleased that you enjoyed the day. Your Queen Nefertiti was a great choice of design and really came to life in mosaic. I also thought that you made excellent choices with the materials and colour combinations that you used. It was lovely to meet you and to have your input and good company throughout the day."

Jean Price reviewed: Make a Mosaic, for beginners

"I really enjoyed this course. Tracey is helpful, friendly, encouraging and knowledgeable. The day just flew by. It was my first time at attempting mosaic. Although I am not at all 'arty', I found with Tracey's help I was able to start a project which I am really looking forward to finishing at home. I would certainly recommend this course."

Tracey Cartledge Artist responded:

"Jean, thank you for your kind review. Despite insisting that you are "not at all arty", you produced a very attractive mosaic of a stylised owl, inspired by a cheerful textile design. Combining glass smalti and unglazed porcelain in your piece worked really well in this design and I look forward to seeing your finished mosaic in due course. Thank you for your recommendation, much appreciated."

Megan reviewed: Make a Mosaic, for beginners

"Tracey is an exceptional teacher who engages worth the class inspiring every person to do something personal to them. I can’t recommend this class highly enough and will definitely book to do another one in the future. "

Tracey Cartledge Artist responded:

"Megan, thank you for this wonderful review, it is much appreciated. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the workshop and the process of mosaic making. You worked with confidence and exuberance to produce a work of art that was bold and impactful whilst conveying sensitivity to the delicate nature of the subject using a carefully considered palette of colours, textures and materials. Well done and I'll look forward to seeing you in the studio again next time!"

Anna Reeves reviewed: Make a Mosaic Flower Pot

"We loved loved this course! Really well organised, informative, friendly and great fun. Couldn’t believe how quickly the day flew by and we left with some completed pieces and a goody bag to finish off our pots. Thank you Tracey!"

Tracey Cartledge Artist responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review, Anna. It was a real pleasure to meet you and Molly yesterday and I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the workshop. You both came up with such great designs for your pots and very attractive colour schemes. I'm really looking forward to seeing how they look when you've had a chance to complete them. Well done!"
