Maker's bio

Julie Brand is a designer and tutor of hand embroidery and machine embroidery based near Pershore in Worcester. She stitches with dyed lace and vintage fabrics, floral patterns and quirky prints. Most of her materials are pre loved, recycled and given a new lease of life. Julie runs creative textile workshops from her beautiful garden studio which is full of inspiration. You will take away a beautifully stitched and finished piece that you will cherish forever.

"What a perfect way to spend a rainy day! My sister and I really enjoyed learning new skills and techniques in such a comfortable and welcoming environment. The course was a well balanced combination of tuition & guidance and opportunities to practise & be creative. It was lovely to go away with a finished piece and I’m really looking forward to trying these techniques out at home over the coming weeks. "I bought two kits and am very pleased with them both They arrived quickly and the instructions were clear and easy to understand I have started the first one and my only problem so far is threading the needle (eye test now booked!) I am looking forward to displaying them when finished"
