Helen Drye runs Silver and Stone Jewellery School based near York, UK.
She started making silver jewellery 10 years ago and set up her business 8 years ago. Her classes are relaxed and fun, and focus on taking home a beautiful piece of jewellery at the end of the day.
"Great course, Helen was welcoming and encouraging. I couldn’t believe I created such a beautiful ring! The course was rearranged due to Covid&I felt very safe, adequate space in the studio with good cleaning facilities, masks & visors. I was very impressed with the workshop, the teacher and especially the end result!
Silver and Stone Jewellery Design responded:
" Thank you so much Katie.
You made a beautiful ring and I'm so glad you felt safe.
We still had a great group and lots of fun and chatter even though we had plenty of distance between us."
"Helen has a lovely spacious and well equipped studio. I had a wonderful day making a silver fidget ring. Helen is a very welcoming and calm teacher and we all relaxed and enjoyed the workshop. We had plenty of time to learn all the processes needed to make the ring. I couldn't believe that I managed to make one that looked like the one on the website! Thank you Helen for sharing your skills."
"Helen made sure we had all the information we needed before getting to the studio so that everything ran super smoothly right from the start. Such a relaxed feel to the class, everyone was able to choose their own style and variations to their rings with expert guidance from Helen with any questions. Helen clearly knows her stuff but teaches in a very natural and calm way. A very enjoyable day and can't wait to come back to make more beautiful jewellery."
"A thoroughly enjoyable day..
Helen worked us through each stage of the Twiddle Ring.. slowly and patiently.
Often when you do craft courses the last half hour can be very rushed. Not this one.
Timed to perfection.
End product was beautiful.
I’m sure I’ll return for another workshop... when I’ve saved up🥴"
