Maker's bio

Ian Stell has been keeping bees since 1998, which is when he joined Sidcup Beekeepers Association (SBKA). He has bees at two locations in London with about twenty hives in total. He became a Master Beekeeper in 2010 and won the prestigious Wax Chandlers Award. A medical doctor, he published on honeybee anatomy in 2012. He has taught on the SBKA course since 2018 and took over leading the course from 2019. He is an experienced teacher and communicator and runs his own medical training company.
