Maker's bio

I create a unique collection of hand drawn, block printed and digitally printed luxury British interior textiles and home accessories inspired by nature and architecture. I trained in Printed Textiles at Loughborough University and returned to study at Winchester School of Art in 2011 graduating with Distinction in MA Textile Design. I am a qualified adult education tutor and run a variety of printing and collage workshops throughout the UK.

"What a lovely relaxed workshop taught by a lovely relaxed and knowledgeable teacher and shared with lovely relaxed participants and the work space was ideal. I was very pleased with my wrapping paper. I will be following up this activity independently. I had worried a bit about parking but in the event Google maps just took me to the shopping centre. It was all as easy as falling off a log. Lino-cut is a very accessible activity."

The setting was inspiring and Rachel was a fantastic tutor, demonstrating each stage of the process and providing encouragement and feedback as we worked. "I really enjoyed this course under the expert guidance of Rachel. We were able to design, cut and then print our designs onto paper, with some really lovely results. The setting was great, with plenty of workspace and it was lovely to see other artists work at the venue. I have now invested in the materials and attempting to make some of my own Christmas wrapping paper this year. Thank you Rachel."
