"I bought a 1-1 with Mary for my partner who has always had an interest in pottery but never tried it. Mary was so lovely, she had a real way of explaining things (and making it look amazingly easy with her demonstrations). She has great attention to detail and plenty of patience. As a complete beginner Mary was fabulous, but looking at some of her beautiful pieces, I don't doubt that she'd be a great inspiration and teacher to those just looking for the next step or a refresher course."

"Absolutely fantastic evening with Mary. Me and my friend went for her birthday treat and both thoroughly enjoyed it. I posted a photo of our pots and so many people have asked where we went and i couldn't recommend Mary enough. I didn't know what to expect but it was very hands on and we managed to do four pots and sarah 5!! The lesson was perfect as we had one to one attention and Mary tried to up our confidence. Very relaxed atmosphere and we had such a laugh."

"The potters wheel have a go course was great fun... We covered basic wedging before Mary demonstrated her craft at the wheel, with great enthusiasm she made it look soooo easy. In a short amount of time Mary had me sat at the wheel (remember you need an apron or rough clothing it can get messy at this point) centring the clay, forming the base and drawing up the sides. She was on hand to guide and gave constant feedback. Totally worth a go, enjoyable and very therapeutic. Would recommend this to anyone interested in creative crafts. I look forward to seeing the fired pieces. Thanks again"

"Great way for a beginner to throw a pot! Mary is an excellent teacher. She is very clear and it was straight into hands-on with clay on a wheel in her Derby studio. She is a pleasant, patient teacher and , although it was my first go on a wheel, I was very pleased with the pots I made which I shall look forward to collecting after firing. Mary was great teacher for a beginner but as an accomplished potter I expect the experience would also be good for someone who’d tried wheel pottery before.I hope to find an opportunity to go again."
