This craft course provider has been awarded Silver status for receiving 5 or more 5 star ratings from previous students.
The Students' Choice award ensures that course providers get recognised for their efforts in the teaching and practice of UK craft.
They also allow tutors to gain valuable feedback on their courses and for new students to find the course that's right for them.
I make baskets out of oak & hazel primarily. The oak spelk is a critically endangered basket from the Furness fells of South Cumbria. They're a challenge to make but they last a lifetime or two. I have been weaving hazel baskets since 2015 & I love researching hazel basket styles throughout Europe.
I was a coppice apprentice for 3 years with the Bill Hoggarth scheme, specialising in hazel restoration. I graduated in 2013 & now I'm a trustee of the scheme.
