Inky Escapades is run by Karen Hewitt, Artist, & Certified Powertex tutor in Fabric Sculpting, Stone Art Clay, Mixed Media and 3D Flex.
My Powertex workshops will give you a window into your own personal creativity. I will offer you the tools and instruction to create fabulous works of art; beware though as Powertex is a very addictive hobby and you may find yourself consumed by its magic. Most materials used are recycled.
I offer small workshops for up to 4 people or 1 to 1 by arrangement.
Attended the course on the 28th September 2019 and it was absolutely brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
From arriving and over the whole session Karen and her team (hubby working away) were outstanding.
We were both complete novices and managed to make 2 stunning pieces of work, that we took away with us on the day.
Everything was provided and Karen made the time to explain clearly the steps that needed to be done and what to be aware of, if you did not do specific tasks. Karen is definitely aware of how Powertex works and is someone who passes on that knowledge willingly and with flare.
Karen made us feel very welcome in her home and he workshop is a little haven at the bottom of the garden, which shows off her work with flare. The cake was too yummy to pass up.
Definitely be back.

Thank You so much for your kind words and for taking the trouble to leave me a review - I am so pleased you both loved your workshop and your introduction to Powertex. Do let me know whether Asia managed to obtain extra credits based on the fabulous piece she created from her photographI attended the course on 12th January 2020. I am a complete novice to all things craft, so starting from a blank canvas as far as my skill set is concerned. Karen took us through, step by step how to build our masterpiece, not just explaining how but showing us how, which was extremely useful. The course was well run and suited all abilities with each of us producing a decorative piece for our gardens.
Karen's attention to detail throughout was fabulous and she was very supportive. The workshop was a perfect creative environment and everything I needed was provided.
A lot of thought and imagination had gone into running this course and it showed in the final results.
I would recommend this course to anyone who just wants to give something new/different a go. With such an inspirational teacher everyone will produce something amazing!

Why Thank you Leigh for your very kind wordsThis was a fabulous course and we really loved our Hares! they take pride of place in our lounge. Karen was an amazing teacher and instructed us throughout the day enabling us to work at our own pace but keeping us on track! The facilities are brilliant and there was a lovely garden for sitting in at lunch time, refreshments were made available and there was plenty of anti bacterial wash in all areas with paper towels to comply with current corona legislation. Thoroughly recommend and we will be back!

How kind of you to leave me such a lovely review, I really enjoyed meeting you both and helping you create your fabulous Stone Art Hares. I am so pleased you enjoyed your day and that your Hares are on display in your lounge no less!We attended our first powertex workshop not really knowing what to expect. Karen was very welcoming and immediately put us at ease. The studio was set up to comply with Covid 19 regulations whilst still achieving an informal friendly space. Karen was an informative, patient teacher and guided us through the lesson allowing us to work at our own pace and explore our own creativity whilst keeping a close eye on us.
Lunch was in her lovely garden with social distancing. We ended the course with items that we were very happy with and never thought we could actually achieve. We are already talking about what item we are going to make on our next visit. 😃.
