Perfect way to learn about all aspects of processing flax. The atmosphere was relaxed and supportive with just the right amount of structure to the day. I really enjoyed meeting and chatting to the other participants and have certainly made some new friends. It was great value for money.

I really enjoyed this course. Everything was explained very clearly, and there were lots of demonstrations and time to try it out for ourselves. From a starting point of having no knowledge at all, I learned a lot. And to cap it all there was a great lunch - including the best bread I have ever eaten!

An excellent day from start to finish. We arrived for the flax processing course and were warmly welcomed with tea and coffee.

The tutors Ann and Simon were very personable, knowledgeable and there plenty of resources and materials present to work with and learn about flax. Plenty of time to practise processing the flax and lovely to take the materials we had made home.

A good lunch was provided and more tea and chat before heading home.

An extremely informative, interesting and enjoyable day. Ann and Simon were very knowledgeable tutors with great enthusiasm for their subject. I learnt a great deal about processing flax, enough to give me the confidence to try growing some myself. I would thoroughly recommend this course to anyone wanting to learn about the growing and processing of flax.

We thoroughly enjoyed our workshop at Flaxland and would recommend it to anyone interested in textiles or agriculture. We were kept busy all day and ended up with samples to take home. Simon and Anne were excellent hosts and we certainly feel like we have learnt something useful from the workshop.

Simon and Ann are very enthusiastic about sharing their passion for flax and linen. The day was well structured, never rushed with plenty of opportunities for them both to share their knowledge and expertise's with the group. The workshops takes place between their house and a large barn nearby, very lovely setting. Fully recommend for anyone wanting to be introduced into the world of flax and linen production.

Excellent course, very well structured with ample opportunity to practise skills. Would recommend to anyone interested in producing fibres for spinning/weaving. Also recommend the 'spinning box' to take away and develop skills. One of the best courses I've done (and I've done a lot!)
