Write your story: letters of a lifetime with author Kate Emmerson

Have you been feeling drawn to recall and note down your life experience and share stories from your heart to preserve them - for yourself or a loved one ...but just don't know where to start? Your stories matter: you have a lifetime of wisdom, heartfelt tales, hard lessons learned, ideas, thoughts and juicy tidbits buried deep in your heart. It’s time to reveal and share them. Author, speaker and writing retreat devotee, Kate Emmerson (aka The Quick Shift Deva) changes lives through writing. In this exclusive taster workshop, Kate will help you to unearth those tales that need to be unleashed. You will weave your words out onto paper, and leave your session with a heart-story in the form of a personal letter addressed to…..whom? Perfect to create a meaningful gift for a loved one, child, grandchild or someone yet to be born. Or a love note to yourself. This 3 hour session is perfect for those new to, nervous about, or unsure how to start recording their thoughts in writing. And is equally suited to those who already write for pleasure or work, but want to explore the possibilities of letter writing as a way of recording life stories. Kate says, "when we take time to pause, inwardly reflect and then bravely put our words onto paper - that powerful act can invoke a deep sense of peace and healing as it fills our hearts." Make your mark with ink on paper, add colour, visual doodles, wax seals, gift wrap and more (if you wish) to create your unique letter to the future.
