Description

We are really excited to be running 2 Christmas Wreath Making Workshops. Please come and join us. Wrap up warm and get into the Christmas spirit with mince pies, mulled wine and lots of pine! We will provide you with all you need to make a stunning Christmas wreath for your front door. This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the art of making your own wreath here on our farm in The Surrey Hills countryside with our guest floristry expert from Kingfisher Farm. In this sociable workshop watch the florist demonstrate the art of creating a wreath using natural seasonal foliage and decorations. Learn about composition and the beauty of using natural foraged items. Then it will be your turn to create. You will be given your own florist’s selection bucket of materials, and guided step-by-step on how to make your wreath. At the end of your floristry experience, you will take away a beautiful wreath, uniquely personal to you or its intended recipient. You will also have the skills to create many more wreaths in the future … and hopefully a feeling of peace and harmony that comes from time spent surrounded by nature! All materials and tools provided. This course is suitable for beginners. No experience required. We can’t wait to welcome you! What to expect The small classes take place in the beautiful setting of our family farm nestled on the edge of Sheepleas nature reserve and at the foot of The Surrey Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The workspace is undercover in an open sided farm building, or weather dependant tea and coffee breaks are taken around the open fire in a small adjacent copse. Most participants are beginners, although some may be returning to further practice their skills and gain more experience. Gift voucher - This course can be purchased as a flexible gift voucher. They make brilliant presents and allow the lucky recipient to choose this or any course that takes their fancy. Corporate team wellness craft experience day - We can also run this and other activities as Teambuilding with a difference! Spend time crafting together, away from the stresses of the business world. We are happy to tailor an experience that’s just right for your team. About Joy Farms - The Joy Family has been working their land and crafting in the tranquil Surrey Hills for nearly a century. Adrian Joy, the third generation of his family to farm, enjoys woodcarving – spoons in particular. Adrian is now married to Sarah, a fellow creative who loves arts and crafts.
