About the Course
Have you always wanted to learn to knit, but were afraid to try? Well, why not join us at the Old School House, Collingbourne Kingston in Wiltshire for our Beginning Knitting Course.
The course is delivered by Claire, the proprietor of Wiltshire Green Woollies, who has over 40 years of knitting and crocheting experience and teaches the heritage crafts of fleece preparation, hand-spinning, hand dyeing, crochet, spinning and weaving from her family's farm and the Old School House in Collingbourne Kingston on the edge of the beautiful and world renowned Salisbury Plain.
You will successfully learn how to cast-on, knit & purl, pick up dropped stitches, increase and decrease stitches, count stitches and rows, and bind off. You will also get some fun projects to complete at home to practice the skills that you have learnt.
When you have completed the course and its projects you will have knitted a beautiful summer scarf and beret with knitted embellishments.
After the course is completed you will receive one year's support via our Knitting & Crochet Club and online via our Facebook page.
