About the Course

This course is now full .... next course will be listed very soon and will be log baskets!

Come and stay at Tiny Homes Holidays and make a willow sculpture for your garden on this 2 day workshop. This lifesized deer will look amazing in your garden or indoors – you could dress it up for Christmas!

This is our third workshop with Amanada and this time we will be making a Willow sculpture in the form of a deer. You will learn techniques to help you realise your own willow sculpture designs.

About your auto Amanda Rayner of Wildwood Willow
I am Amanda Rayner, I set up my business Wyldwood Willow in 2000. I first started weaving when my friend Phil was emigrating to Oz and was offering several bundles of Willow and a quick afternoons lesson in how to make a basket. It all carried on from there and the rest as they say is history…
I now weave all sorts of things from baskets and coffins to decorative and living Willow fences, tunnels, arbours and domes. Sculpture and more recently furniture and light shades.
I teach at many venues including Humble by Nature and The Sustainability Centre and also share my skills at lots of festivals throughout the summer.

Have a look at the gallery for this course and you will see some of the past projects students at Tiny Homes Holidays have created!

An amazing course, can't believe we managed to make the hampers that we did! Amanda was very patient at teaching us, and there was plenty delicious food to keep us going through out the day as usual! Would definitely recommend, gives you a whole new appreciation for the level of skill and craftsmanship that goes into each willow piece!
