About the Course

If you are a complete beginner or have had a go before Richard & Suzanne Kerwood of Windrush Willow will take you through this one-day course in easy steps. So that you go home with your own 4ft wigwam plant support(s) for sweet peas and willow grow through for supporting shrubby plants like peony’s, and the knowledge to make more in the future.

The types of willow and how to prepare them are explained in full and a demonstration of each stage of the weaving is given, tools are provided as are all the materials needed. It’s all straight forward and good for the blood pressure! There will be a charge of £7-£10 cash to cover materials, given to the tutor on the day. We have a maximum of 12 students on the course.
Useful things to bring are a kneeling pad and apron.
Baskets and other willow items are available to buy.

What's included in the price?

On-site accommodation. NOT included in the price, but the rooms are on the door step if you want to extend your trip to an over night stay. Contact me for prices and availability.
We have three self contained bedrooms in the barn conversion. Doubles (super king) or twin and spectacular views from all three rooms. Each have their own front door, en suite wet-room, kitchenette, ample parking, free Wi Fi, Self-Catering and flat screen TV. Access for the disabled.
