About the Course
Join us for a thoroughly festive willow weekend creating beautiful crafts to decorate your home or garden or to give away as lovely gifts. This course provides an opportunity for you to learn all about willow, how to grow it, prepare it and weave with it using a variety of techniques. We will be using vibrant fresh cut willow, dried willow and a selection of hedgerow material such as dogwood, hazel and birch. During the weekend you will make wreaths, trees, stars, angels, reindeer, rustic hearts and more! The course is suitable for both beginners and those with some willow experience.
Out to Learn Willow are a small company based in the Vale of Glamorgan, specialising in all aspects of working with willow. We provide fun and creative willow weaving workshops; beginners baskets, garden structures, willow sculpture, living willow and much more. We are also makers of willow craft and traditional baskets.
This course officially starts at 6.00pm on the Friday with dinner and registration. Please aim to arrive between 4:00-5:00, there will be coffee and cake available from 4pm onwards. Breakfast will be at 8am; Lunch will be a packed lunch. The course will end the following Friday at breakfast.

What's included in the price?
All tools and materials will be provided and you will take home whatever you make. The fee also includes accommodation in your own room. Please enquire about the fees for shared room occupancy as well as non-residential rates (tuition only).
