About the Course
Ideal for those who wish to begin playfully making baskets! Using either my newly developed sculptural stake and strand method, the free weaving technique, or Zarzo method, learn how to make your own unique willow basket in a day.
Due to their growing popularity I’m now offering a dedicated Zarzo basket making day. A stunning sizeable round or rectangular basket that’s great for beginners!
Willow artist, basket maker and experienced tutor Sarah Le Breton will teach you how to create your Zarzo basket, adding charm to your home for years to come.
All willow sculpture days are suitable for beginners and for those with existing willow weaving experience. Just bring along lots of enthusiasm and by the end of the day you will be taking home your basket!
These willow sculpture days are taught at Coates English Willow, situated at the heart of this country's willow growing industry on the beautiful Somerset Levels (TA3 6HY). Coates has been growing willow in the Somerset Levels since 1819. On site is the Wetlands & Willows Visitor Centre with a museum, gallery, shop and tea rooms.
For previous attendee testimonials please click on the Gallery tab on the Courses page at Sarah's website.
