Willow Animal Sculpture Workshop in the Lake District

Willow bird

During this workshop you will learn to make a woven willow piglet or pheasant/bird using willow rods. This is a fun day where you will be shown how to create your chosen creature using soaked willow rods of various sizes using the random weave technique. Steve or Simone will guide you through the stages of the weaving process and help you to produce a lovely original willow sculpture.

Steve Fuller has been making baskets and working with willow for over 40 years. He has been growing willow and teaching courses for many years. Simone Siegan, his partner in Willowpool Designs, and Steve joined forces 15 years ago and together they specialise in creating animal sculptures and garden products from willow. They work closely with garden designers and schools to create Living Willow sculptures.

Cancellation and a full refund can be obtained up to 4 weeks before the course starts. Start dates may be amended on request.
