About the Course
This course, organised over two weekends, is aimed at anyone who is enthusiastic about photography and the outdoors who isn’t afraid to get up close and personal with wildlife.
Each course comprises two Saturday sessions in the classroom, plus a Sunday on location.
Autumn: visit a Nottinghamshire park where you will photograph the rutting deer, the changing colour of the leaves and the ornamental fungi that has begun to pop up.
Winter: visit a Nottinghamshire lake where you will hope to photograph the elusive kingfisher as well as winter migrant birds, resident waterfowl and frosty landscapes. Time will be spent in a hide.
Spring: visit a Nottinghamshire nature reserve where you will photograph the wild flowers, colourful invertebrates and birdlife that are plentiful at this time of year.
There will be plenty of opportunities to capture some amazing moments with your camera. There will plenty of mistakes and missed opportunities, but all part of what will be a fun and valuable experience of real wildlife photography.
On this course you will:
learn a range of natural history photography techniques so that you can master the perfect shot
be involved in practical workshops and interactive lectures
undertake group critiques of your work.

By the end of the course you will have a unique understanding of wildlife photography and its demands as well as rewards.
This course is ideal if you are building a portfolio for future employment or studies in photography, or else it is perfect for amateurs and professionals who simply want to immerse themselves in the subject.
