If you would like to attract bees and butterflies or simply love the diverse appearance of a wildlife garden, it is vital to understand how to create this space. Join Paul Ritchie for a day of education and practical work. He will discuss the principles of wildlife gardening and why it is so important for all of us to consider developing an area, big or small, to encourage native flora and fauna.
Paul is an active participant in the Surrey Wildlife Gardening programme and has won awards for his own garden. He is therefore the perfect tutor to discuss the principles of wildlife gardening. It is also vital to understand how to assess an existing garden, which he will describe using those at the Bay Pond Educational Nature Reserve.
After lunch you discuss how to plan your own garden to achieve your personal botanical goals.
To finish off the day, you will build a pre-cut bird box to take home and cherish in your newly designed wildlife garden.
