£60 for 6 week course
We have been running Water colour art courses for many years locally to Broadstairs and for the past 4 years we have been doing Art and Spa weekends in the beautiful Flackley Ash Hotel in Rye. Also new for this year we will be running a weeks painting holiday in Greece next year!
The art course is for beginners or intermediates in watercolour painting and will run in 6 week blocks through out the year. We have around 16 people in each class so early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. We vary the lessons subjects and styles and we are always adding new techniques to keep you learning and experimenting.
You will be shown from scratch how to stretch paper, apply paint, mix colour and all watercolour techniques to get you started. For improvers we will help you to expand your knowledge and introduce you to new ideas, tips and techniques.
Materials will be provided for the first lesson, but you will want your own equipment so you can continue painting at home. We can help advise with all materials and supply you if need be.
There will be various step by step demonstrations and tuition throughout the course and you should complete a finished painting on each lesson. Some of our students have been coming for some time and some are new. As there are 2 of us teaching there is always help available for every level of artist from absolute beginners to people who just want to brush up on their skills (excuse the pun).
Come along and join the fun!

This is a brilliant course for anyone wanting to dip their toes in the wonderful world of water colour painting. Vicki and Beth give confidence and ensure that you take home a "masterpiece" at the end of your very first lesson. The lessons are friendly and fun and very encouraging.

These courses are excellent for beginners. They give students confidence and a variety of subjects to paint. The evenings are friendly and fun with great company and good tutors. The courses are run on a five or six week basis and having finished the first you can enroll for the next. This enables you to build on previous lessons.

I've always been curious about watercolours and just a little bit scared, but thanks to Vicki and Beth I am now beginning to realise what a great medium watercolours are. Thanks to Vicki's guidance and support I am now growing in confidence and will definitely keep at it and hopefully create some good work.

I am not very confident but Vicki has really looked after me and helped me so much. I wasn't sure about watercolour but it's amazing what can be achieved. I was a complete beginner and friends could not believe the standard of my work.
The course which can be ongoing is worth every penny.
