About the Course
2 Day Weekend Footstool Course
This course is perfect for those new to the upholstery craft who are looking to learn new skills and get creative. You will be provided with everything you need to create your project which you will take home at the end of the course to show off your new found skills. You need only bring with you 1 meter of your chosen fabric and your enthusiasm.
The course is led by Graham Fairclough who has over 20 years teaching experience, and with class sizes kept small (maximum of 5 people per course) you will get plenty of one to one support to guide you through the full range of upholstery techniques. From applying webbing, hessian and wadding, cuts and corners to finishing techniques such as shallow buttoning, stud work or piping you will take your solid hardwood frame, made in our frame workshop, all the way to the finished article. You will even be given a choice of quality paints and waxes to choose for finishing your legs to match your fabric.
You have a choice of footstool shapes either square (21" x 21") or rectangle (18" x 24"), simply express your preferences at the time of booking.
If booking with a CraftCourses voucher for part or all of the course fee, please fill in the contact form above or telephone us. Your voucher code must be provided at the point of booking.
