Description

A relaxing and creative taster session in spiral weaving and weaving in the round.

About this Event
Join us for either a morning or afternoon* taster session to discover the slightly addictive fun of weaving on a circular frame loom!

You will be shown how to create a variety of effects, beginning with the spiral weave effect on a super-cute miniature flower loom!

Then, using a larger hoop loom, you’ll add warp threads and have the time to explore further techniques to create your own unique circular weaving.

Colourful yarns and roving are provided, so whether you select a bold psychedelic mix or a tranquil sun-bleached palette there’ll be plenty to chose from.

By the end of the workshop you’ll have all the skills to continue experimenting with circular weaving in your own time and take home your mini flower loom and a hoop weaving.
The weaving techniques introduced in this workshop can be explored on other frame looms too.

Workshop £35 which includes 2x weaving hoops to take home.

Skill level: Suitable for beginners as well as more experienced weavers looking for new skills!
