Waste not want not. Pattern and design

Join me for a great day in the studio, letting the materials speak for themselves. Whether you want to produce realistic or more abstract work, we will use light and dark, colour and design to get the best out of materials you might not have thought of using before. From tea and coffee, to old emulsion, wood stain, food colouring. If you think it’ll create a mark, bring it along or have a go with materials in the studio. Old paints or art materials can hide in corners, so let’s get them out and give them some life again. Anything that might be used for collage is a great addition as well.

What's included in the price?

All materials are included but you are encouraged to bring along anything else that you think you can use on this day. Tea and coffee are available all day. You are welcome to bring lunch to the studio or grab something from the excellent deli or tea rooms in the courtyard.

I study landscapes, weather and seasonal change with a strong emphasis on colour. Currently I am painting with oils, but I regularly produce work with oil pastels, acrylics and inks. My love of the landscape and the ever changing weather conditions are my starting point, developing my work through sketches that explore composition and colour. From here, I work to create vivid and stimulating final pieces.
