Description:

Washington Weavers
This is a weekly Weaving Class for beginners.
It runs every Friday morning from 10am for 2 hours.
We weave with different materials and equipment.
So far we have woven; purses, watch straps, brooches, tapestries, with raffia, with ribbons, with fabric strips, with sticks, just to name a few.

Ring or email Amanda to book your place.
Then just drop in and pay at the shop counter.
Note: Under 12 year olds must be accompanied by an adult.

Working in a craft shop also gives you the opportunity to buy supplies before and after the class, for specific projects you want to develop at home.

What's included in the price?

Absolute beginners are always welcome.
Your first session you will learn how to use my specially designed, hand-held loom.
You can borrow a hand-held loom during the class sessions. If you want to buy one, kits are for sale in the shop.

Once you know how to weave on my loom, you can develop your weaving knowledge and skills.
I introduce you to different weaving ideas.
I bring the equipment and yarns for you to use in the class.

Thisweaving course is really good value for money I have learnt a lot of different techniques of Amanda she is a really good teacher and has really inspired me plus I have made some very good friends and we are all happy to help each other and give each other ideas and inspiration I am really enjoying this course

The best value for money you can get for a class with a friendly atmosphere and positive input. Learning to weave with Amanda Jane has allowed a new expression of my creativity and my friends and family have been inspired by the gifts I have learnt to create.

My sister living in the USA was inspired, by the purse I wove for her using organza ribbon, to buy kits for a class and my brother-in-law has set up his weaving corner in their home.

The possibilities are endless and it is fun and relaxing.
