About the Course
Two day drawing residential course in stunning Malham Tarn, run by the Field Studies Council.
Using tutor Margaret Uttley's techniques, she will lead you on short walks around the tarn and fen, stopping at various locations to draw characterful notations of the richly varied textures and growths amongst this very special environment. Each of you will be provided with a handmade sketchbook and as the weekend progresses you will create a journal of Malham Tarn drawings.
Margaret Uttley grew up in Todmorden, West Yorkshire and studied Fine Art at Bristol University. She returned to live in North Yorkshire at the turn of the new millennium and has worked from the local area since that time. Margaret has exhibited her huge drawings and water colour paintings widely. Her work is owned by private collectors across the UK and internationally and she has run water-colour painting and drawing classes over the last twenty years.
