This weekend is all about getting out and recording the wonderful landscape of Snowdonia. Its based on walking and drawing/photographing in Snowdonia and finishes in my wonderful studio in Beaumaris Anglesey where we explore and paint up all thats inspired us using either watercolour or gouache.
Friday evening is spent going over ways to record the walks most effectively - drawing or photographing and also hints and tips about drawing/painting outside. I'll go over techniques which are easy to use outside and have the best effect, also ideas about gathering enough information so there is enough to make a painting later.
Saturday and Sunday, we'll meet up and go for our walk and there will be a variety of views and details that we can take in as we go. If you have a particular place you would like to work from please let me know beforehand and I'll consider making it part of the weekend.
Of course this is weather dependent, so there is a degree of working with the elements here! We may have to change the times we go out and there may be more time spent in the studio. But I aim to walk in the mornings and paint/draw in the afternoons.
At the end of the weekend you will have paintings or information that you will feel inspired about, and you will feel more confident about going out drawing and using the techniques you have learnt.
You can find accomodation either in Snowdonia or in Beaumaris, let me know if you need a hand with this but airbnb have a lot of places available on their site.
I do not aim to walk miles but instead take you to places where there is a lot of inspiring scenery, gathering visual information as we go.
