£8 per hour upholstery tuition in the center of York.
Learn how to upholster using the traditional method of hand-built stuffing and stitching and building modern furniture with foam and wadding. With guidance you will develop a sense for the correct tension of the fabric, and the feel of the furniture. These key points will help you to achieve the professional appearance needed for your work. Sessions are £8 per hour and students are limited to a maximum of 7 per session which means plenty of work space and individual tuition time. Materials can be purchased from Jo. Tools are available to borrow. Just bring along your furniture.
This can be anything up to a small sofa as long as you can take it home after the session!
If need to fit your learning time around other commitments then tuition at an hourly rate of £18 per hour can be arranged. Students coming on consecutive days can leave their project at Rogues Atelier whilst working on it.
