About the Course
A part-time beginners' course in upholstery. Classes run during the daytime (2 Tuesdays or one full weekend) or 4 Tuesday evenings.
Price is per course.
This course involves upholstering a small stool using a mix of traditional and modern upholstery techniques. We provide all the materials, including the stool frame and a choice of top fabrics (you can bring your own top fabric if you prefer). At the end of the course the stool is yours to take home.
This taster course will provide you with basic upholstery skills which you can then build on in our furniture upcycling classes.
LEARN HOW TO:
Use upholstery tools such as webbing stretchers, staple guns and tack hammers/lifters effectively
Tension and attach upholstery materials
Shape fabric using cuts and folds
Learn about upholstery materials and sundries
The tutor is Fern Busuttil.

What's included in the price?
All tools and Level 1 and 2 materials are included.
There is a cafe next to the Makershed in the St Pauls Learning Centre serving hot meals and drinks at lunchtime. Students are also welcome to bring a packed lunch.
