About the Course
Learn new easy techniques to up-cycle. Each class teaches different skills needed to up-cycle clothing, fabrics and household items. These skills include basic sewing, printing, tapestry, applique, arts and crafts, designing, crochet, pattern reading, flower making, book making and lots more!. Create your own projects led by our up-cycling expert.
The course is FREE to those who are in receipt of means tested benefits, or if you are aged between 19 and 23 and do not have 5 GCSE's above grade C.
Otherwise the course is £108 for the 12 weeks which is just £9 per session.
The starting date is Tuesday 20th September 12:30pm - 2:30pm finishing Tuesday 20th December.
We start another 12 weeks again on 10th January 2017.

Inkberrow Design Centre (IDC) is based in Redditch, just South of Birmingham in the West Midlands and offers a wide range of City & Guilds and recreational courses. We pride ourselves on tailoring the courses to the individual learners’ needs and requirements, and can offer a flexible programme. IDC incorporates the Old Needle Works Craft Centre.

What's included in the price?
Inkberrow Design Centre is part of a complex called the Old Needle Works in Redditch where arts and crafts can be celebrated. Here we have 5 fully equipped studios with all the sewing machines you could wish for. You will need a basic sewing kit of scissors, pins and an unpicker, but the tutor does have a small selection for you to borrow in the class until you are able to get one.
