The media industries are now more varied and exciting than ever. This programme will enable you to make full use of all media contexts and possibilities and will unleash your creativity through a broad range of technical tools and resources. Our curriculum is highly practical. You will be able to experiment with different media and will develop the collaborative, communicative, and problem solving skills that you will need to succeed and make your mark in this exciting and varied industry. You will experiment with filmmaking, music video, documentary, advertising and more!
You will learn about camera techniques, sound and lighting design, video editing, colour grading, roles and responsibilities in the industry and will be coached on how to best craft your career to suit your interests.
A part of the course will deepen awareness of the impact of media messages and you will spend time discussing and analysing elements of culture, and context. You will be encouraged to collaborate and form part of exhibitions and cross centre projects and will be guided to fully understanding the evolution of media and how your future fits within it. The course will help you organise, plan and deliver ambitious projects for varied audiences and contexts. You will gain the contextual awareness, technical ability, confidence, independence and resilience to succeed.
Based at the Chelsea centre for creative industries you will meet many like minded people and form part of a dynamic and supportive creative community.
On successful completion of this course you will be awarded a UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media Production.

As this is an online plus course, the practical aspects of the different units will be<br>delivered at the Chelsea Centre for the Creative Industries whilst adhering to social distancing guidelines. Theoretical content, as well as group and individual tutorials will be delivered online using Microsoft Teams.
All course materials (project briefs, background notes, handouts, YouTube videos, links<br>to content etc.) will be available online and accessible via our Virtual Learning<br>Environment, Google Classroom.
Your progress towards achieving the learning outcomes will be reviewed regularly. Throughout the course you will be encouraged and supported to reach
your full potential on a 1 to 1 basis and l with constructive feedback from tutors and industry specialists.
At the end of your studies you will have the opportunity to exhibit a body of your<br>creative work at an exhibition.
Assessment Methods: Achievement on the course will be measured by completion of projects, course units and each year’s respective ‘final major project’. Your progress towards achieving the learning outcomes will be reviewed throughout the course. At the start of the program you will have the opportunity to discuss your personal and professional ambitions and goals with your tutor and set your own targets linked to your intended pathway.
In order to ensure you make the best possible progress on your course, you will receive regular constructive and supportive feedback from your tutors, with indicative grading clearly communicated to you throughout the 2-year study program.
